After graduation, I worked in the Music department for a while until I had Austin. Walter started his piano tuning business. We moved to Nacogdoches, TX in 1974. In 1977 we started a new full line music store Heritage Pianos and Organs. In 1980 we reduced it to piano service only. We had three more children. In 1989 I enrolled at Stephen F. Austin State university and graduated with a Masters degree in music in 1998. I taught orchestra in several public schools, and private piano and violin. I retired in 2010 and since then been doing volunteer work. I have been playing the piano for a small church since 2005.
Walter has become a lay pastor for Grace Communion International.
