Our Next AMB ALUMNI Reunion

Well, we’ve read your emails and your survey responses.  We’ve heard your requests and we are ready to answer.  We’d like to invite you all to the next Ambassador Alumni Reunion.

Now, I’m sure the first question you are asking yourself is, WHEN.  Well, the answer is, we’re not sure yet :?)  However, we are looking at an entire week, June 10^th through June 16^th, 2013.   We were actually personally wanting to have it in the fall of 2013 but so many of you wanted it sooner that we figured we needed  to move it sooner, so when one of the hotels we have been talking to suggested a good deal for this particular week, it captured our interest.    We will be in Dallas the 4^th of July to confirm the site and with it the date.  Please stay tuned and when we know, you’ll know.

Where?  The hotel that we are talking to is a little more upscale but per your request, it is again in Dallas.    Fifty-nine (59) % of you that took the survey requested that we hold the next reunion in Dallas and it makes total sense with so many of you living in Texas and the original campus so close by, so Dallas it will be.

You had many other suggestions for what you would like at your reunion and we have begun working on ways to make them happen.  One of the most frequent requests was more time to spend together, so, for this next year the reunion will be a full seven day / six night affair.   It will start out small and intimate on Monday night for the true die-hards, but we will have group functions, no matter how informal, planned for every day and night of the reunion week culminating in a huge banquet dinner and dance on Saturday night.  Two other big request items were a BBQ lunch and an off-site restaurant affair.  Planning for both is in progress.

But, you say, you want to get together sooner?  For those of you who just don’t want to wait for the main event, John Dickerson: txndwnunder@yahoo.com along with Jackie Brown Gutierrez: jackiekays49@yahoo.com and with help from Diane Panella Snuffer: diandpa@centurylink.net are planning a get together “Dinner at the Doubletree in Dallas” on October 27, 2012.  I’ve set up a user forum on the website for discussion of this event entitled AMB Alumni get together October 27, 2012 .  Please use this site to ask questions and share information regarding the DDD (“Dinner at the Doubletree in Dallas”) October 2012 event.

To kick-off the AMB 2013 ALL CLASS Reunion we are initiating a new section to the website called “All Year Reunion”.   Our major concept for the 2013 reunion is to get everyone involved that wants to be.   Tom has had a lot of volunteers and planning has begun but the bottom line is, we need more help.  If you are interested please email Tom at twilliams@tv24.tv.  

Guys, even I, not an alumni, am getting excited.  From what I am seeing, I think the 2013 reunion will blow your socks off.

NEEDED A  POINT OF CONTACT FOR EACH CLASS

We need one volunteer from each class 65-81 to head the hunt for your alums and bring them to the website and insure they will get the infomation for our next reunion.

If you would like to head the search for your missing mates let us know and we'll work with you anyway we can to insure all THE MANY HUNDREDS of inactive AC/BS alums know about all of the information of the next AC/BS reunion.
